A unique biography in the history of music: born in 1643, died in 1682 at 38 years old. Stabbed!
Musician, singer, composer, excellent lute player, violin, keyboards, of an easy poetic vein.
Seducer and seduced by an uncontrollable nature, received attacks on his life twice that forced him to flee. Loved and protected by Queens, princesses and singers. Over 300 compositions in the burning span of 15 years! Unique of his time to practice all genres. As many as six melodramas around his life in the 1800s, a contemporary work in 2017.
A temporal annulment characterizes the characters who narrate themselves (with irony) and who, as a consequence, tell us, almost subjectively, of Stradella.
From the second half of the '600 to today, from a low continuum to Pop, the pace is short.
The characters "live" today and in the past at the same time, chasing time seamlessly. This temporal crushing approaches a remote era different from ours, naturally maintaining the intention: A modern Stradella like rock and jazz, and even the assumptions and introspections of Oratories of the '600, which refer in their turn to Biblical or mythical episodes, they both seem to find answers today.
The true, supposed or false events of Stradella become occasions to listen to his music, almost in a subjective emotional way. Intense and complex, in spite of an immediate facade, simple, understandable by anyone.
An investigation into the hiatus between the character's restlessness and the purity of his musical lines.
Words and images for music, as streams of consciousness, to punctuate the listening and focusing the attention, bringing its course to consciousness, like a story without words.
An introspective cut, where the characters are almost fantasmatic, as if they came from the mind of the protagonist, who ironically lives the comparison with the inventions of his reception.

FRANCESCO LEPRINO
Many things and various kinds of things have happened in my life, centrifugal and full of curiosity: from the youthful experiences as a guitarist in rock bands, to an experimental LP in the 70s (republished 4 times by different labels, the last in 2015), juridical, musicological and compositional studies, musical organization, over ten-year collaboration with the most important music publisher, the publication of books and essays, the treatment of magazines and books.
Then, in 1995, the love for music came together with cinema, a physical place in which I was (literally) born and also weaned, and focused on audiovision, with university courses, seminars, lectures, Master Classes but above all making anthological and experimental videos, documentaries, (docu) films.
And here come the commissions: Milano Musica, Conservatorio Verdi di Milano, Provincia di Milano, Orchestra Verdi di Milano, Centro San Fedele, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Società Italiana di Musicologia, Amici del Loggione del Teatro alla Scala…
Flattering criticism, selections and awards in author festivals, broadcasts in major television networks, screenings in several hundred prestigious institutions (in Italy, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Belgium, Holland, Sweden, Canada, Mexico, States United, Malta), lead me to insist.
All thee ,which are unique in their focus on music and transparency in secrecy... writers and theorists such as José Saramago, Douglas Hotstadter, Alberto Basso, Quirino Principe, Gillo Dorfles, Salvatore Natoli, actors like Bruno Ganz, Carlo Cecchi, Arnolfo Foà, Sonia Bergamasco..., musicians and composers such as Tom Koopman, Stefano Bollani, Salvatore Sciarrino, Giorgio Gaslini, Gustav Leonhardt, Ramin Bahrami, Daniele Gatti, Hilliard Ensemble ...
The main works were broadcast by Sky Classica HD and published in about twenty DVDs.
I still insist today!
