On Thursday 10th August at 9 pm, at the terrace with a large panoramic screen in Via Mazzini, 1 in Viserba, there will be a screening of the film "La ragazza Carla", from the eponymous poem by Elio Pagliarani, a masterpiece of Italian literature, set in post-war Milan and still incredibly current.
The film will be introduced by Cetta Petrollo Pagliarani.
"La ragazza Carla" was designed by a group of Milanese filmmakers, directed by Alberto Saibene, with Carla Chiarelli and the extraordinary participation of Elio.
The scaffolding of the film is built on the recitation of the most significant passages of the poem by the actress Carla Chiarelli. The project is inspired by his work on the text, after that for years it has been kept its memory alive by offering it to the public.
The poem is born from the strong impression that the metropolis raised in the "romangolo" Pagliarani, who arrived in Milan in the immediate post-war period and expresses the discomfort of the girls of today who face for the first time the reality that the city puts before their eyes.
The film was conceived for the Milano dell’Expo and was born from the initiative of a group of 'Milanese people from the cinema' who wanted to show Milan beyond the clichés and wanted to say that they love this city, especially in its more hidden aspects. Those that tell 'La ragazza Carla'.
Alberto Saibene (1965), from Milan, works in the publishing field as a consultant for the Hoepli publishing house and is the founder, with Giovanna Silva, of Humboldt Books. He deals with the history of twentieth-century Italian culture. In particular, he is the curator of the writings of Adriano Olivetti for the revived Community Editions. In the audiovisual field he is the author of about fifteen cultural documentaries for RAI, RTSI, Classica, FAI etc.
LIUBA, international artist and granddaughter of Elio Pagliarani will pay homage to the famous poet and theater critic on the panoramic terrace of the Liupirogi and Pagiopa Association of which she is the founder since 2013 and which is based in via Mazzini1 in Viserba, exactly where Pagliarani was born and lived before moving to Milan.
The very name "Liupirogi e Pagiopa" is composed of the initials of the names of the people of the family whose "roots" are present in this house, including E of Elio, which connects Liupirogi and Pagiopa.
Stars, poetry and cinema on the night of San Lorenzo on Viserba's most suggestive terrace.
Free admission with the Liupirogi and Pagiopa membership card (daily € 5 annual € 20)
